Black Friday Shopping

My mom and I always get up at 3 a.m. to go shopping on Black Friday, but this year the sales just weren't worth it! We still went, but I didn't have any money from lack of babysitting, and the sales were not significant. I don't know if any one else noticed or not, but I was pretty peeved. I did manage to get some dvds for $4 though so i was happy about that. On Black Friday, my mom and I drove up to Phoenix to see my moms cousin Michael and his wife Amy, and their little one year old son Caleb. I have some photos, but its to late to upload them. It was a great trip!

What Beach I went to

Excuse me for my lapse in judgment, I was in San Diego and I went to Imperial Beach, Mission Beach, and one other historical place that you couldn't swim or anything just view it and take photographs. Here are some more pics.

The Beach

This past weekend I saw the beach for the first time! (I had been once before but that was when i was six months old so it doesn't count.) Anyways, I went w/ my dad....and it was so much fun!! It was pretty cloudy, and really cold so we couldn't swim, but I still got some great photos and it was a good experience anyways. These photos are just a handfull of the hundreds that I got while I was there.

Nathan

My brother Nathan is home right now from the Navy!! He came as a surprise..at least to my mom and I. Apparently everyone around us knew that he was coming, but he wanted to keep it a surprise for us. He had even been in town for a few days visiting with my dad.
I am the kind of person that hates surprises no matter how good they are. I always want to know in advance. Christmas presents, I totally peek. So my mom was away on an errand, and Jeremy went off some where- he came home but I didn't come out of my room. He told me to, but I'm like um ok.....? So I walk out and the first thing I see is Nathan standing right there looking very nice in his uniform. I screamed and like jumped on him. I have really missed him. It's so amazing to have him home, even if it's just for one more day. We have done a lot of fun things, and it will be sad to see him go again.

Friends

I love my friends, and at times I really miss talking to long distance ones, like say people who live in Sahuarita. What really gets to me, is when they seem to think that just cause something good happened, they can wake you up really early on a Saturday morning to give you the news. I DON'T THINK SO!! Now Meg's, you know that I love you but come on I need my beauty sleep!!

Nothing New

Not really anything new, but I'm trying to get into the habit of blogging frequently. Tomorrow we have no school in remembrance of Veterans, which is pretty exciting!! Tonight, my whole family is going bowling. that will be a lot of fun. I also had practice today but I didn't do that great : (

Made it!

I finally made the bowling team!! YAH!! Wednesday will be my first meet. : )

Sorry

Sorry I haven't blogged lately, life has been really crazy. Today was a meet for bowling, I still didn't get to play. If I do good for the next week then I will get a chance to be on the team for good.....Lord willing. The coach also said that I would get to bowl in the next match (today) if I bowled two consecutive good practices, and I did that. Of well...... that's life. Other then that all I have been doing is school work. I hate having all my big projects at once! I have a huge assignment for biology, worth two test grades, AND I have a huge assignment in English. I have to write an entire "forgotten" section of the Odyssey!!

Bowling Well

As you know, I didn't make the bowling team, I am just an alternate. On Thursday's practice I bowled one of the best games of my life. I got a 166, 90, 101, and 121. A good friend named mike said to the gosh, "Dang, and she is just an alternate?!" The coach, Mr. McBride said to him that if I have two consistent practice's then he will let me bowl at a meet. That means that if I do really good bowling tomorrow then I will have a chance at bowling on Wednesday! I hope that this happens!!!

Halloween

My Halloween experience was so amazing!! We went to a church fall festival for two hours. There were jumping castles, music, LOTS of food, and "trunk-or-treat." That was a lot of fun. And then after that was over my mom, little bro and i went trick-or-treating in a neighborhood called winter haven.

I dressed up in a formal dress, boa, and a gold sequined mask, and my little bro was a pirate. He was really embarrassing at the festival. He would come up to me and my friends and be like, "give me your gold!" Totally not cute, for those of you who will say that is.

While trick or treating in winter haven, one man asked what I was. I said oh just a masquerade kind of thing, and he said "just a teenager scamming for candy." That really ticked me off, because you never know peoples stories. It was my first Halloween!! I still had a great time so that all that mattered.

Halloween

I'm so excited because tonight will be my first time to ever dress up for Halloween! My father never let us dress up or anything, so now that we aren't living in his house we will be able to! I'm not really "going as anything" but I have this formal dress that I'm gonna pair with a gold sequin mask, and a boa. So it's kinda like a masquerade thing. We still aren't going trick or treating, but there is a fall festival at my church that we will be attending. They have a cake walk, and trunk-or-treat so it will be a lot of fun!!

Partys

I find it interesting that you can go to school with a person day after day, but never talk to them. At a party however, you can talk to them, and become friends in an instant! I think it so, interesting, how that works. That happened to me today. At a birthday party of a mutual friend we got to talking and suddenly became friends. Very ironic, I would say.

Angel the Puppy

My little angel is more like a puppy then a kitten. She is perfect, and affectionate-like a puppy. Although, more so, she will eat anything. Of course she has a never ending bowl of cat food located conveniently in the kitchen; however, she eats everything. She eats food off you plate, like say cornbread and potatoes. She eats food you drop, like say a few pieces of macaroni. It even goes so far as to have her eat a bone from chicken that didn't quit make it into the trash can by dear ol' Jeremy. My mom and I are a little bit worried about her digestive system but I guess she is doing fine.

Not making teams

It's really hard when you spend a lot of time trying out for a team, and put so much effort into getting better, and being good and don't make it. In my instance it was the bowling team. Today was the last day of try outs (they had extended the dates), and I played one of the best games of my life. I had been steadily getting better and better. Today I even went as far as to get a 153!! He then took me aside and said that I didn't make the team, but that I could still practice with them and be a back up. I guess it isn't so bad, but I was so disappointed. My BFF Lauren made the team, and so I am really happy for her.

I have always loved bowling. When I was little we lived in South Dakota for a month, and the hotel that we stayed in had an alley that we went to regularly. That's when I really started to like it. I went a lot with my friends in Sahuarita too. (pictured is my friend Katie doing the classic Granny roll).

Football Sucks!!

I am the typical girl when it comes to football. I hate it with every fiber of my being. It is a point less sport, where the ball is not even a ball it is like a double cone or something. I don't understand why thousands of people pay big bucks to go to watch this horrendous sport. Especially when the team is really bad, like say the University of Arizona. Games are not fun, and if you are sitting in the crappy seats (like I was for half the game) then it makes your back hurt.

Last night I had to go to the U of A game with my dad, and two brothers. It was so boring, and horrible. My only savior was my phone, I was able to text my friends. Half way through the game I was able to join my best friend Lauren where she was sitting. Her family had made her go as well. They had really good tickets in the area that had backs on their chairs, and access to the lounge with free drinks and such. We sat in that lounge for most the 2nd half of the game on really cushioned leather seats. We didn't even pay attention to the game, we just cheered when every one else did. I don't see the point of football!!

Casa De Los Gatos

Today, I went and volunteered for the first time at the animal shelter we adopted Angel from. It was a really nice experience, although not quite the way I imagined it. I thought that I would be able to play with the kitty's and feed them, and such; however, that was not the case. I had to clean and clean and clean and clean. It was so exhausting I couldn't believe that people did that every day of the week. It was very fulfilling though, and I do know that I got the best kitten there : )

Bowling

For the past few weeks I have been trying out for the bowling team. Today, I was supposed to find out if I made it or not, but it was extended till next Monday. I am going crazy waiting to see if I'm going to. I love bowling, I know it sounds a tad bit nerdy, but it is so much fun!! My BFF Lauren and I do it together along with some others. I know that Lauren is going to make it because she is really good, and her brother is the team captain but I'm still not sure about me. I haven't been playing my best lately. I have been to every single try out, and I have been taking all the advice that the coach has given me, so just pray that I will make the team: )
